UK Kidney Week 2023 - Newport, Wales

Four of our PhD students are just back from a hugely successful UK Kidney Week 2023, at the International Convention Centre in Newport, Wales. Many thanks to the UK Kidney Association and Welsh kidney community for hosting us! 

All four had abstracts accepted to be presented, and special mention has to go to Shawn Li who was awarded ‘best poster’ prize in his category.

We enjoyed networking with collaborators in the field, both clinical and scientific, and hearing about advances in the field of tubular nephrology.  

The final evening was marked by a lovely conference dinner, and on the last morning we enjoyed the tubular nephrology session, which was kicked off by UCL’s Professor Robert Unwin.
